My Roller Coaster Month - Frank Ideas Update

What A Month!

(If you already signed up to be a PeopleShock Insider, sorry about the duplication. If you haven't, and want to stay on top of what's happening with the book release plans, please sign up now at  http://bit.ly/peopleshockinsiders.)

As some of you know, the past few weeks have been a roller coaster ride for me. I'll tell you about that in a moment, but first, I'm doing my 1st webinar about PeopleShock on Wednesday (Feb 24) at 10:30 a.m. MST (12:30 Eastern). I'd love it if you could sit in, and let me know what you thought of it. It is free. Register at http://bit.ly/PeopleShockwebinar1.

Now to the roller coaster...

UP
The first people to see parts of the book gave super-enthusiastic feedback!

DOWN
News that my father in law had died. He'd been in last stage Alzheimer's for years, so it shouldn't have been a surprise, but it was.

UP, UP, UP, UP
Started getting book cover testimonial quotes from people I really respect. Here are some:

Patrick Doyle, Chief Executive Officer, Domino’s Pizza Inc.
“Technology has allowed us to do some amazing things, but it wouldn’t mean a thing if we lost touch with people – our own team members or our customers. Tema’s book reminds us that – no matter what the innovation – people will always be at the heart of our business.”

Shep Hyken, New York Times bestselling author of The Amazement Revolution
“This book proves that even with the best technology and automation, you can't guarantee success without people. Filled with stories, stats and facts, Tema Frank will show you how to leverage the digital world with the people skills needed to help take your organization to its next level of success.”

Jay Baer, President of Convince & Convert and author of Hug Your Haters
"Technology and data envelop us like a straight jacket, but humanity is still the ultimate killer app. PeopleShock is a timely reminder, with a message you forget at your own peril."

Jeanne Bliss, President Customer Bliss, Author Chief Customer Officer 2.0
"Job #1 for leaders is to help people to bring the best version of themselves to work. In this book, Tema Frank shows us how to lift our heads and hearts above data and technology — so companies and its people can soar!

DOWN!
My father died. He also had dementia, but was not yet in the final stages, so it was a shock when, over the course of 5 days, he took a massive turn for the worse. On the positive side, he was still able to recognize the love of his life, my mother, on his very last day. He loved her deeply for 65 years!

UP
Getting some cool concepts on the cover. What do you think of this one? PeopleShock, by Tema Frank (Possible book cover). What does it convey to you?
That's the news for now. If you have friends or colleagues who might also want to be on the Insiders list, why not share this email with them and invite them to sign up at http://bit.ly/peopleshockinsiders

Thanks for all your support!
